BAXTER COUNTY (8-6) – Maintenance work by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on State Highway 177
(Norfork Dam) requires a lane closure, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation
Department (AHTD) officials.

The southbound lane will be closed at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, August 13 and will remain closed until
4:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 16. This closure will allow the Corps of Engineers to repair a damaged
roadway median crash barrier. More information about this project is available by contacting the Corps of

Traffic will be controlled with flaggers, signage and traffic cones. Drivers should exercise caution when
