LAWRENCE COUNTY (7-27) – Maintenance work requires a temporary closure of a section of State
Highway 228 near Clover Bend, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, on Tuesday, July 31 and Wednesday, August 1 crews will close the highway to
through traffic just west of the intersection of State Highway 228 and Lawrence County Road 511. The
closure will allow crews to replace a culvert.

Traffic will be controlled with flaggers and traffic cones. Drivers should exercise caution when approaching
