BENTON COUNTY (9-25) – Maintenance work by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on State
Highway 187 (Beaver Dam) will resume and the work requires closing it to traffic, according
to officials from the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT).

State Highway 187 will be closed on Tuesday, October 2 and will remain closed for the
following two weeks. The recommended alternate route is U.S. Highway 62. This closure will
allow crews to perform required maintenance. More information about this project is

Traffic will be controlled with signage and traffic cones. Drivers should exercise caution
when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel
