Hot Springs Bypass Extension Design Revised Promise Land Dr. Interchange Removed

GARLAND COUNTY (9-11) – Based on public comments from the Design Public Hearing
held in February, the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) has eliminated the
Promise Land Drive Interchange from the future bypass extension between Highway 7 and
the eastern terminus of Martin Luther King Expressway, east of Hot Springs.

An overpass bridge is still being proposed to allow traffic on Promise Land Drive to crossover
the new highway. Updated design information for the project can be found at
IDriveArkansas.com or ARDOT.gov.

For more information, contact the ARDOT’s Public Information Office at 501-569-2000 or
