GARLAND COUNTY (9-28) – A routine bridge inspection requires alternating lane closures,
according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, crews will conduct alternating lane closures on U.S. Highway 270
Monday, October 1 from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. to inspect the bridge structure over
Hot Springs Creek. This bridge is located between Central Avenue and Carpenter Dam Road
in Hot Springs.

Traffic will be controlled with signage and traffic barrels. Drivers should exercise caution
when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel
