Routine Maintenance Requires Lane Closures on Interstate 40

FRANKLIN COUNTY (10-19) – Routine pothole patching requires temporary alternating
lane closures on Interstate 40, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation
(ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, on Monday, October 22, crews will continuously close the outside
eastbound lane of I-40 between Mile Marker 25 and Mile Marker 40. Once work in the
eastbound lanes is complete, work will begin in the westbound lanes. The westbound lane
closures will be alternating lane closures between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Anticipated completion is late November.

Traffic will be controlled with signage and traffic barrels. Drivers should exercise caution
when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel
information can be found at IDriveArkansas.com or ARDOT.gov. You can also follow us on
