Construction on U.S. Hwy 67 Requires Lane Closures in Pulaski & Lonoke Counties

PULASKI & LONOKE COUNTIES (12-07) – Construction work to widen U.S. Highway 67
between Jacksonville and Cabot requires overnight lane closures in Pulaski and Lonoke
counties, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, the outside lane of northbound U.S. Highway 67 will be closed between
Vandenberg Boulevard and State Highway 5, reducing traffic to one open lane. Lanes will be
closed Monday, December 10 between 6:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. This closure will permit
crews to relocate concrete traffic barriers to establish a new U.S. Highway 67 on ramp from
T.P. White Drive. The existing T.P. White Drive on ramp will be closed during this time period
to allow for the work. Traffic will be controlled with construction barrels and signage.

This project (Job CA0605) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes
widening 4.6 miles of U.S. Highway 67 from Vandenberg Boulevard in Jacksonville to State
Highway 5 in Cabot. The highway is being widened to three lanes in each direction. More
information on this $79.2 million project is available at ConnectingArkansasProgram.com.

Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work
zones. Additional travel information can be found at IDriveArkansas.com or ARDOT.gov. You
