DESHA COUNTY (1-14) – Subsurface investigation in preparation for a new Rail Road
Overpass replacement on U.S. Highway 278 requires a temporary lane closure in McGehee,
according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, crews will operate a single lane closure on the existing Rail Road
Overpass of the westbound lane of U.S. Highway 278 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday,
January 17.

Traffic will be controlled with signage and flaggers. Drivers should exercise caution when
approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel information
