Update: Repair Work Requires Temporary Closures and Restrictions on Hwy 69

INDEPENDENCE COUNTY (1-16) – A section of State Highway 69B (Harrison St.) in
Batesville will be temporarily closed during repair work, according to Arkansas Department
of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting; crews will close Harrison St. between Neeley St. and 8th St. from
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, starting on Wednesday, January 16. After
hours there will be a single lane open with temporary signal lights. These closures will be in
place while crews repair drainage structures underneath the highway and the work is
anticipated to require 4-6 weeks.

Traffic will be controlled with signage and traffic barrels. Drivers should exercise caution
when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel
