Department Seeking Public Input at Meeting about the Commerce Drive Extension in Jonesboro

CRAIGHEAD COUNTY (1-24) – The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) will
hold a Location and Design Public hearing in Jonesboro to present and discuss the proposed
plans to widen the existing portion of Commerce Drive to five lanes and construct an
extension on new location that will have four lanes with a raised median and connect I-555
to State Highway 49.

The public is invited to visit any time during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask
questions and offer comments. The meeting will follow an open house format and will be
held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
