Construction on U.S. Highway 67 Requires Overnight Lane Closures in Pulaski and Lonoke Counties

PULASKI & LONOKE COUNTIES (02-01) – Construction work to widen U.S. Highway 67
between Jacksonville and Cabot requires overnight lane closures in Pulaski and Lonoke
Counties, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, the inside lane of southbound U.S. Highway 67 will be closed beginning
north of State Highway 5 (Exit 16) and continuing south of State Highway 5, reducing traffic
to one open lane. The lane will be closed Monday night, February 4 at 7:00 p.m. through
Tuesday morning, February 5, at 6:00 a.m
. Depending on inclement weather, this closure
may be scheduled for another night later in the week. This closure will permit crews to
remove concrete barrier wall to prepare for an upcoming northbound traffic switch to the
newly constructed pavement.

This project (Job CA0605) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes
widening 4.6 miles of U.S. Highway 67 from Vandenberg Boulevard in Jacksonville to State
Highway 5 in Cabot. The highway is being widened to three lanes in each direction. More
information on this $79.2 million project is available at ConnectingArkansasProgram.com.

Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work
zones. Additional travel information can be found at IDriveArkansas.com or ARDOT.gov. You
