Construction on U.S. Hwy 67 Requires Lane Closures in Pulaski and Lonoke Counties

PULASKI & LONOKE COUNTIES (02-12) – Construction work to widen U.S. Highway 67
between Jacksonville and Cabot requires overnight lane closures in Pulaski and Lonoke
counties, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, the inside lane of northbound and southbound U.S. Highway 67 will
periodically be closed during overnight hours between Vandenberg Boulevard and State
Highway 5. Drivers may expect various inside lane closures for the next two weeks,
beginning Wednesday, February 13. Lanes may be closed during the following time
periods:

  • Northbound lane closures may occur overnight between 8:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.
    the following day.
  • Southbound lane closures may occur overnight between 7:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.

These closures will permit crews to work within the center median. Traffic will be controlled
with construction barrels and signage.

This project (Job CA0605) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes
widening 4.6 miles of U.S. Highway 67 from Vandenberg Boulevard in Jacksonville to State
Highway 5 in Cabot. The highway is being widened to three lanes in each direction. More
information on this $79.2 million project is available at ConnectingArkansasProgram.com.
