Construction on U.S. Highway 67 Requires Lane Closures in Pulaski and Lonoke Counties

PULASKI & LONOKE COUNTIES (02-22) – Construction work to widen U.S. Highway 67
between Jacksonville and Cabot requires overnight lane closures in Pulaski and Lonoke
counties, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, the inside lane of northbound U.S. Highway 67 will be closed during
overnight hours between Main Street and north of State Highway 5. Drivers may expect
moving lane closures for the next two to four weeks, beginning Sunday, February 24. Lanes
may be closed during the following time periods:

  • Northbound lane closures will occur overnight between 8:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.
    the following day.

These closures will permit crews to work within the center median. Traffic will be controlled
with construction barrels and signage.

This project (Job CA0605) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes
widening 4.6 miles of U.S. Highway 67 from Vandenberg Boulevard in Jacksonville to State
Highway 5 in Cabot. The highway is being widened to three lanes in each direction. More
information on this $79.2 million project is available at ConnectingArkansasProgram.com.

Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work
zones. Additional travel information can be found at IDriveArkansas.com or ARDOT.gov. You
