PULASKI & LONOKE COUNTIES (03-19) – Construction work on U.S. Highway 67 in Pulaski
and Lonoke counties requires southbound lane closures and a traffic shift, according to
Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

To continue with the highway widening, southbound traffic will be reduced to one open lane
between State Highway 5 in Cabot and Vandenberg Boulevard in Jacksonville. Weather
permitting, this lane closure will occur Thursday, March 21 at 11:00 a.m.to Friday, March
22 at 6:00 a.m.

Traffic will initially move to the southbound outside lane. Once crews have completed
pavement markings, traffic will switch to the far inside lane. After the single-lane closures
are complete, the inside and middle lanes will re-open to traffic by 6:00 a.m.

During this work, two ramps will be impacted. The southbound on-ramp from Highway 5
will be closed. Traffic will use the frontage road to Vandenberg Boulevard to access Highway 67.
Also, the southbound Highway 67 off-ramp to Vandenberg Boulevard (Exit 11) will be
closed. Traffic will take the Gregory Street off-ramp (Exit 10B) and use the frontage road to
return to Vandenberg Boulevard. Traffic will be controlled using traffic barrels and signs.
The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zones.

This project (Job CA0605) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes
widening 4.6 miles of U.S. Highway 67 from Vandenberg Boulevard in Jacksonville to State
Highway 5 in Cabot. The highway is being widened to three lanes in each direction. More
