LAWRENCE AND RANDOLPH COUNTIES (3-26) – The hours for alternating lane closures
on the U.S. Highway 62 Spring River Bridge are being reduced, according to officials from the
Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT).
For the past two weeks, routine maintenance on the bridge has required alternating east and
westbound lane closures be in place 24-hours a day with nine-foot width restrictions.
Beginning Wednesday, March 27, crews will resume 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily lane
closures, Monday through Thursday. Width restrictions will apply during the closures. It is
expected that closures will remain in effect for the next four weeks, weather permitting.
Traffic will be controlled with temporary traffic signals, traffic barrels and barriers. Drivers
should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.
