MISSISSIPPI COUNTY (7-5) – Construction work on State Highway 181 will require a
closure two miles south of Victoria and a detour for all traffic, according to Arkansas
Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.
Weather permitting, crews will close both lanes of State Highway 181 approximately two
miles south of Victoria in order to replace an existing bridge structure. This closure will begin
at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, July 8 and will continue until work is completed, which is estimated
to take 6 weeks.
Drivers will need to bypass construction by using State Highway 140 on the southern end
and State Highway 158 on the northern end to connect using Interstate 55. Traffic will be
controlled by signage and traffic drums.
Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work
zones. Additional travel information can be found at IDriveArkansas.com or ARDOT.gov. You
