PRAIRIE COUNTY (8-2) – Improvements require temporary lane closures on Interstate 40
in Prairie County, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.
Weather permitting, crews will put the following lane closures in place between mile
markers 199 and 202 to install new signage on Sunday, August 4:
- Eastbound outside lane from 9:00 a.m. until Noon.
- Westbound outside lane from Noon until 3:00 p.m.
Traffic will be controlled by signage and traffic barrels. Drivers should exercise caution when
approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel information
