Construction Work Requires Alternating, Overnight Lane Closures on I-49 in Rogers

BENTON COUNTY (8-16) – Construction work requires alternating, overnight lane closures
on Interstate 49 in Rogers, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT)
officials.

Weather permitting, crews will alternatingly close both northbound and southbound I-49
lanes between New Hope Road (Exit 83) and Walton Boulevard/Walnut Street (Exit 85)
between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. These closures will occur nightly, starting on Monday
night, August 19
and continuing through Monday morning, September 16.

The closure is taking place so that contractors can paint the W. Magnolia Street overpass.

Traffic will be controlled by signage and traffic barrels. Drivers should exercise caution when
approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel information
