GARLAND COUNTY (8-27) – A routine bridge inspection requires a temporary lane closure
on U.S. Highway 70B (East Grand Ave.) in Hot Springs, according to Arkansas Department of
Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, crews will put the following lane closures into place where
U.S. Highway 70B crosses Gulpha Creek on Thursday, August 29:

• Outside westbound lane between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
• Outside eastbound lane between 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Traffic will be controlled by signage and traffic barrels. Drivers should exercise caution when
approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel information
