BAXTER COUNTY (10-11) – Maintenance to the Norfork Dam requires lane closure on State
Highway 177, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, the Corps of Engineers will close one lane of State Highway 177 across
Norfork Dam from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for one year beginning Tuesday, October 15,
2019 through Thursday, October 15, 2020.

The closure has been coordinated with local emergency and law enforcement agencies.
Officials from the Army Corps of Engineers Mountain Home Project Office regret any
inconvenience this may cause. If you are traveling in this area, please expect delays, obey
flagmen, and drive cautiously around equipment and work crews.
