Improvements to Interstate 40 Require Ramp Closures

CRITTENDEN COUNTY (10-17) – Improvements to Interstate 40 require ramp closures,
according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, crews will close the eastbound entrance and exit ramps to Interstate 40
at State Highway 38 (Martin Luther King Drive) beginning Friday, October 18 for
reconstruction. The estimated completion of this portion is early December, 2019. Traffic
will detour to Interstate 55 southbound (Exit 4) for the Martin Luther King Drive Exit.

Traffic will be controlled by traffic barrels and signage. Drivers should exercise caution when
approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel information
