Maintenance Work on Highway 212 Requires Temporary Road Closure in Cleveland County

CLEVELAND COUNTY (10-25) – Maintenance work on State Highway 212 requires a
temporary road closure just south of the Jefferson & Cleveland County line, according to
Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, crews will close State Highway 212 between U.S. Highway 79 just north
of Rison and State Highway 35 at Staves to all through traffic; local traffic will still be allowed.
This closure will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, October 28 and is estimated to end at
5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30.

Traffic will be controlled by traffic barrels and signage. Traffic traveling along
U.S. Highway 35 will continue south to Rison and then take U.S. Highway 79 north. Traffic
traveling along U.S. Highway 79 will continue south to Rison and then take State Highway 35
north to return to Staves. Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling
