Construction on I-30 in Saline County Requires Lane Closures on Highway 70 Ramps

SALINE COUNTY (12-05) – Construction to widen Interstate 30 to six lanes in Saline County
requires lane closures on two ramps at the interchange with U.S. Highway 70, according to
Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, the contractor will relocate barrier walls and performing lane striping on
two ramps at Highway 70 and I-30. Ramp lanes will be closed between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
from Sunday night, December 8 through Saturday morning, December 14.

  • Eastbound Highway 70 ramp to eastbound I-30 will be reduced to one lane. Traffic will
    be controlled with construction barrels and signage.
  • Eastbound I-30 ramp to Westbound Highway 70 (Exit 111) will be closed. Traffic will be
    detoured to the U.S. Highway 67 interchange (Exit 114) to return westbound I-30 to Exit 111.
    Traffic will be controlled with message boards, construction barrels, and signage.



The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zone.

This project (Job CA0601) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes
widening 5.5 miles of Interstate 30 to three lanes in each direction, from the interchange with
U.S. Highway 70 (Exit 111) to Sevier Street in Benton (Exit 116). The project also includes
improvements at the Highway 67 interchange (Exit 114). More information on this $187.3
