BAXTER COUNTY (12-13) – Maintenance of the Norfork Dam performed by the Army Corps
of Engineers will require a temporary full closure of the State Highway 177 Bridge across the
dam, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, the Army Corps of Engineers will completely close both lanes of State
Highway 177 Bridge across the Norfork Dam starting at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, December
16 through 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18. For more information, contact the

Detour routes will be posted. Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and
