COLUMBIA COUNTY (12-6) – Improvements to State Highway 98 Bridge over Cornie Creek
requires a road closure just north of the community of Atlanta, according to Arkansas
Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, crews will close the section of State Highway 98 between U.S. Highways
82 and Highway 79 just north of the community of Atlanta from 8:00 a.m. on Monday,
December 9 through 5:00 p.m. Thursday, December 12. Local traffic will be allowed.

Traffic will be controlled by traffic barrels and signage and through traffic will be detoured
along U.S. Highway 82 towards Magnolia and U.S. Highway 79.

Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work
