Geotechnical Work Near Interstate 30 Requires Adjacent Street Closures in Little Rock

PULASKI COUNTY (01-31) – Crews performing geotechnical sampling along Interstate 30 in
Little Rock will require daytime lane closures on adjacent streets, according to Arkansas
Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Geotechnical boring for design work on the 30 Crossing project will require lane closures in
various areas along Interstate 30 between East 2nd Street and East 6th Street in Little Rock.
Weather permitting, this work will occur Tuesday, February 4, and Wednesday February
5, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., with exceptions as noted:

  • Westbound East 2nd Street between Mahlon Martin and Ferry streets (two 15-minute
    closures, at approximately 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.) Flaggers will be used to direct traffic
    around equipment being loaded and unloaded.
  • Southbound Ferry Street between East 2nd to East 3rd streets, left lane
  • Northbound Rector Street prior to East 4th Street, left lane
  • Eastbound East 2nd Street between Ferry Street and Rector Street, right shoulder


Traffic will be controlled with construction barrels and signage. The public is advised to be
cautious when traveling in the work zone.
