ARDOT to Reschedule Three Regional Public Meetings

LITTLE ROCK (3-16) – The Arkansas Highway Commission and the Department of
Transportation (ARDOT) are cancelling three upcoming regional public meetings due to the
current health risk situation regarding COVID-19, according to Department officials.

As recommended by health officials, ARDOT is implementing social distancing mitigation
measures to help combat the spread of COVID-19 in Arkansas communities. ARDOT and the
Commission have been hosting a series of regional public meetings around the State
regarding the upcoming vote on the continuation of the temporary half-cent sales tax. Nine
of the meetings have been completed, but the decision has been made to cancel and
reschedule the final three meetings as noted below:

March 30 Batesville UACCB Independence Hall
March 31 Jonesboro ASU First National Bank Arena Auditorium
April 2 El Dorado El Dorado Municipal Auditorium

ARDOT officials will continue to collaborate with other State and public health officials on
this serious public health situation. Once it has been determined to be safe for public
gatherings, the final three meetings will be rescheduled.
