POINSETT COUNTY (5-6) – Construction work to improve State Highway 1 requires lane
closures in Harrisburg, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT)
officials.
Weather permitting, crews will begin asphalt work on State Highway 1 in Harrisburg
Thursday, May 7, between the intersection of State Highway 14 and the Poinsett
County/Cross County line. This work will require daily lane closures which will occur
weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. until the project is complete, which is estimated to
be five weeks.
Traffic will be controlled by traffic cones, flaggers, and signage. Drivers should exercise
caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel
