CRAWFORD COUNTY (6-9) – Asphalt paving operations require closure of the ramp from
Interstate 540 Northbound to Interstate 40 Westbound, as well as lane closures on Interstate
40, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, crews will conduct the following closures:

• The I-540 Northbound ramp to I-40 Westbound is closed from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
  while crews remove and replace asphalt.
• The current asphalt operations will include nightly lane closures on I-40 Westbound
  until the work is complete, which is estimated to be late June.

Traffic will be controlled with signage, barricades, and traffic barrels. Drivers should exercise
caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel
