Maintenance Work on Hwy 318 Requires a Temporary Road Closure near Oneida

PHILLIPS COUNTY (7-10) – Maintenance work on a Highway 318 bridge near the town of
Oneida will require a temporary road closure, according to Arkansas Department of
Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, crews will close the section of Highway 318 between Highways 44 and
318 starting at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, July 13 and the closure will remain in place until work
is complete. Local traffic will be allowed excepting where the bridge crossing over Beaver
Bayou Ditch is being repaired. The repair work is estimated to take a week and is focused
on repairing some damage in the timber substructure.

Traffic will be controlled by advanced warning signs, cones, barricades, and message boards.
Those traveling on Highway 85 will be detoured to Highway 44 at the town of Lake View and
then travel east to Highway 318. Through traffic traveling from Helena-West Helena will
utilize Highway 44 to Highway 85 at Lake View and then travel north on Highway 85 until
reaching Highway 318.
