Routine Bridge Maintenance on Highway 20 Will Require Temporary Closure in Phillips County

PHILLIPS COUNTY (7-24) – Routine maintenance of the Highway 20 Bridge over the Floyd
Bayou will require a temporary closure in Phillips County, according to Arkansas
Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, crews will close the Highway 20 Bridge over the Floyd Bayou starting
at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, July 27. This bridge is just west of the intersection of Highway 20
and Highway 20 Spur south of Helena-West Helena. The closure will allow crews to conduct
maintenance of the sub-structure pilings and caps and is expected to last for one week.

Traffic will be controlled by traffic cones, barricades, and signage. Drivers should exercise
caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel
information can be found at IDriveArkansas.com or ARDOT.gov. You can also follow us on
