GREENE & LAWRENCE COUNTIES (07-31) – Construction work to widen U.S. Highway 412
requires a lane closure in Greene and Lawrence counties, according to Arkansas Department
of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.
Weather permitting, crews will close the westbound outside lane (passing lane) at the Cache
River bridge to allow westbound construction to continue. This closure will begin Monday,
August 3 and is estimated to remain closed until late 2020.
Traffic will be controlled by traffic barrels and signage. The public is advised to be cautious
when traveling in the work zone and watch for slower traffic speeds.
This project (Job CA1003) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program to widen
approximately 14.5 miles of U.S. Highway 412 to four lanes between U.S. Highway 67 in
Lawrence County and State Highway 141 in Greene County. The project includes a southern
bypass of the Light community. More information on this project is available at
ConnectingArkansasProgram.com.
Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work
zones. Additional travel information can be found at IDriveArkansas.com or ARDOT.gov. You
