Maintenance Work on Interstate 40 White River Bridge Will Require Temporary Lane Closure

PRAIRIE COUNTY (8-14) – Maintenance work on the Interstate 40 White River Bridge will
require a temporary lane closure in Prairie County, according to Arkansas Department of
Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, crews will close the outside eastbound lane of the I-40 White River
Bridge (mile markers 198-200) from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Monday, August 17. This
closure will allow crews to repair damage done to the parapet wall and guard rail.

Traffic will be controlled by traffic cones and signage. Drivers should exercise caution when
approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel information
