GREENE COUNTY (8-25) – Resurfacing McDaniel Road and Oak Drive in Paragould will
require temporary lane closures, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation
(ARDOT) officials.
Weather permitting, contractors managed by the city of Paragould will reduce traffic to a
single lane starting at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 26 and continuing until work is
complete which is estimated to take three weeks.
- McDaniel Road | between County Road 765 and Linwood Drive
- Oak Drive | between McDaniel Road and Finch Road
This project is paid for by City Aid which is funded by a penny of every dollar from motor
fuel tax sources funds City Aid and County Aid projects that are selected at the discretion of
the city or county. This contract was awarded to Sugg Construction Inc. of Jonesboro in the
February 2020 letting for the amount of $247, 835.28.
Traffic will be controlled by traffic cones and signage. Drivers should exercise caution when
approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel information
