Improvements to Beaver Bridge Require Temporary Closures

CARROLL COUNTY (8-31) – Replacing the timber deck and railing on the Beaver Bridge
(Highway 187) over the White River will require temporary closure of the bridge, according
to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, crews will temporarily close the bridge as follows, Monday through
Thursday
(except on holidays)

  • Phase I – Starting Wed. (9/2) | 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. | Expected two-week duration
  • Phase II – Upon completion of Phase I | Mon 9:00 a.m. continuously through Th 5:00 p.m. | Expected three-month duration

Traffic will be controlled by traffic cones and signage. Drivers should exercise caution when
approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel information
