LONOKE COUNTY (10-2) – Environmental clean-up requires overnight shoulder closures
on Interstate 40, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, remediation contractors with ARTG Environmental, LLC, will close the
eastbound inside shoulder of I-40 beginning Monday, October 5, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00
a.m.
to conduct a fuel spill cleanup inside the median at Mile Marker 167 between the Kerr
Road Exit and the Highway 15 Exit. This work will involve removal and replacement of
topsoil and is expected to last approximately seven days to complete.

Traffic will be controlled by signs, message boards, and traffic cones. Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel information can be found at IDriveArkansas.com or ARDOT.gov. You can also follow us on Twitter @myARDOT.
