ARDOT Names Dave Parker as Public Information Officer

LITTLE ROCK (10-8) – Dave Parker has been named Public Information Officer for the
Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT), according to Department officials.

Parker is an Emmy award-winning journalist who has spent more than three decades
covering local news. He most recently served seven years as News Director at KTHV-11 in Little
Rock. Prior to coming to Little Rock, Parker worked in media markets such as Memphis,
Baltimore, and Philadelphia.

“We are thrilled to welcome Dave as a part of our team,” stated ARDOT Director Lorie
Tudor. “Dave is known by many in the media community across the country, and his experience
with journalists in Arkansas will be a tremendous asset as we work to keep Arkansans informed
about the work of ARDOT and the highway improvement projects they may encounter while
traveling.”

Parker was born in Louisville, Kentucky. He graduated from Murray State University in
Murray, Kentucky, with a bachelor’s degree in Radio/Television Performance. Along with his
news management experience, Parker has also served as a reporter, photographer and producer.

“I appreciate and value the importance of getting accurate information out to the public,”
Parker stated. “That’s been the focus of my entire career. I look forward to working with this new
team.”

Parker begins as ARDOT’s Public Information Officer on Monday, October 12.
