PULASKI COUNTY (10-26) – Crews working in the Interstate 30 median in North Little Rock
will require double lane closures and traffic shifts on I-30 during two November weekends,
according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, crews will reduce westbound I-30 to one open lane between Bishop
Lindsey Avenue and the Arkansas River Friday night, November 6 through Monday
morning, November 9
. In addition, there will be an eastbound single lane closure during the
weekend’s overnight hours.

The following weekend, Friday night, November 13 through Monday morning,
November 16
, crews will reduce eastbound traffic to one open lane in the same area of the
work zone. In addition, crews will close a single westbound lane closure during the
weekend’s overnight hours.

Please see the attached map for the location of the lane closures. Additional details will be
available closer to the closure dates.

Traffic will be controlled by signage, construction barrels, and barriers. The public is advised
to be cautious when traveling in the work zone and watch for slower traffic speeds.

The 30 Crossing project (Job CA0602) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program that
was approved by voters in 2012. It is being funded with the proceeds from the temporary ½-
cent sales tax that is set to expire in 2023. The passage or failure of Issue 1 at the polls this
November will have no impact on the 30 Crossing work that is beginning this fall, including
the construction of a new Arkansas River bridge and improved access to both downtowns.
