PULASKI COUNTY (3-9) – A section of 6th Street east of Interstate 30 in Little Rock will be temporarily closed later this month, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.
Weather permitting, 6th Street between the eastbound I-30 Frontage Road and Collins Street will be closed for approximately two months as part of the 30 Crossing construction project. This closure is scheduled to begin mid to late March.
A detour will be in place to move traffic around the closure, including the use of 7th Street and 9th Street. The 9th Street bridge and southbound frontage road will be reopened to traffic prior to the closure on 6th Street. See attached map NR 21-066-A for detour route.
Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.
A long-term and permanent travel impact interactive map is available at 30Crossing.com, along with additional project information. Additional travel information can be found at IDriveArkansas.com or ARDOT.gov. You can also follow us on Twitter @IDriveArkansas for traffic and @myARDOT for everything else.
