Improvements to Interstate 430 Arkansas River Bridge Requires Weekend Lane Closure

PULASKI COUNTY (4-29) – Improvements to the Interstate 430 Arkansas River Bridge will require a weekend lane closure, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, crews will close the outside and middle northbound lanes of I-430 between Cantrell Road (Highway 10) and Crystal Hill Road (Highway 100) from 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 1 through 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 2. This closure will allow crews to place the next section of a latex modified concrete, a mixture that performs as a waterproof layer for the bridge deck that will prevent some damage from salt and other chemicals used during winter weather events.

Traffic will be controlled by traffic cones and signage. Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.
