POPE COUNTY (6-2) – New bridge construction on Highway 105 means closure of a portion of the highway, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.
Crews have closed Highway 105 between Oak Grove (Highway 164) and Caglesville (Highway 124) to remove and replace the existing bridge over Isabell Creek.
Northbound traffic will detour to Highway 164 and turn right at Moreland onto Highway 124. Southbound traffic will detour to Highway 124 and turn left at Moreland onto Highway 164. Motorists’ travel time through this area will increase by seven minutes. This closure will remain in place until the work is complete, which is expected to be November of 2021.
Barrels, cones, and signage will control traffic. Additional travel information can be found at IDriveArkansas.com or ARDOT.gov. You can also follow us on Twitter @IDriveArkansas for traffic and @myARDOT for everything else.
