Improvements to I-430 Arkansas River Bridge Need Temporary Lane Closures and Traffic Shift

PULASKI COUNTY (6-9) – Construction of improvements on the Interstate 430 Arkansas River Bridge need temporary lane closures and a traffic shift, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting; crews will execute northbound lane closures between Cantrell Rd. (Highway 10) and Crystal Hill Rd. (Highway 100) starting on Friday, June 11 as detailed below:

  • Double Lane Closures:
    • Friday 8pm – Saturday Noon
    • Saturday 8pm – Sunday Noon
    • Sunday 8pm – Monday 6am
  • Single Lane Closures:
    • Saturday Noon – 8pm
    • Sunday Noon – 8pm

Traffic will be controlled by traffic barrels and signage. These closures will allow the contractor to shift the middle and outside lanes of I-430 onto the newly resurfaced northbound lanes. The inside lane will remain in the temporary split while work begins on the existing northbound lanes.

Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel information can be found at IDriveArkansas.com or ARDOT.gov. You can also follow us on Twitter @IDriveArkansas for traffic and @myARDOT for everything else.
