Construction on River Bridge Means Major Traffic Shift on I-430

PULASKI COUNTY (8-19) – Improvements to the Interstate 430 River Bridge require a major traffic shift for the next stage of construction, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, all three northbound traffic lanes will shift to the same side of the I-430 bridge and the inside southbound lane will now be on the northbound side of the bridge.

The middle and outside southbound lanes will remain in their current position.

This will allow the contractor to rehabilitate the inside half of the southbound side of the bridge.

The following closures will be between Cantrell Rd. (Highway 10) and Maumelle Blvd. (Highway 100):

  • Friday night, August 20, into Saturday morning:

NB & SB:  8pm -12pm | Double left lane closures

  • Saturday night, August 21,into Sunday morning:

            NB & SB:  12pm – 8pm | Saturday | Single left

            NB & SB:  8pm – 12pm | Sunday | Double left

            SB:  8pm – 12pm | Sunday | Double left

  • Sunday, August 22

            SB:  12pm – 8pm | Sunday | Single Left

            SB:  8pm – 6am | Monday | Double Left
