ARDOT Efficiency Study Recommendations: Comments on Implementation Rules Accepted Through January 3

LITTLE ROCK (11-23) – In 2019, Act 298 of the 92nd General Assembly required the Arkansas Legislative Council (ALC) to conduct a study of “the processes and functioning of the Arkansas Department of Transportation.”

An Efficiency Study was completed and adopted by ALC in November 2020.  The study identified 13 recommendations across six focus areas to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of ARDOT.

In 2021, Act 739 of the 93rd General Assembly required that the Arkansas Highway Commission submit rules to implement the recommendations.

The public is invited to review and comment on the Arkansas Legislative Council Efficiency Study Recommendations Rules for Implementation (Rules) by January 3, 2022.

The Rules may be reviewed at https://ardot.gov/events/public-comment-period-open-arkansas-legislative-council-efficiency-study-recommendation-rules-for-implementation-available-until-january-3-2022/ .  They may also be reviewed at the ARDOT Central Office.  For more information, or to request a copy of these Rules by mail, contact the ARDOT Governmental Relations Office at 501-569-2108 or [email protected].
