SALINE COUNTY | April 18, 2022
Interstate 30 eastbound traffic will experience a temporary traffic pattern change at the exit ramp to Highway 70 (Exit 111) in Saline County as part of the construction project to widen I-30 to six lanes.
Weather permitting, eastbound traffic using the off-ramp to Highway 70 will exit a quarter-mile earlier and use a new ramp lane separated from interstate traffic. This maintenance of traffic plan will place vehicles onto the new interchange bridge over I-30. This traffic switch will occur during overnight hours on Monday, April 18, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
During this work, the I-30 eastbound exit to Highway 70 will be closed for short periods of time for pavement striping and barrier wall relocation. During any temporary closures, traffic will be directed to continue east to Exit 114 and then take I-30 westbound to Exit 111 and Highway 70.
Traffic will be controlled with signage, construction barrels, and barrier wall. The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zone and watch for slower traffic speeds. Areas adjacent to the Interstate may experience noise impacts during nighttime hours.
This project (Job CA0601) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 5.5 miles of Interstate 30 to three lanes in each direction, from the interchange with U.S. Highway 70 (Exit 111) to Sevier Street in Benton (Exit 116). The project also includes improvements at the Highway 67 interchange (Exit 114). More information on this $187.3 million project is available at ConnectingArkansasProgram.com.
