Bridge maintenance to the Highway 77 Bridge over the Little River near Athelstan will cause bridge closure tomorrow.

Weather permitting; crews will close Highway 77 between Highways 140 and 158 tomorrow, August 5, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Local traffic may travel from the bridge north to Highway 158 and south to Highway 140 but may not cross the Little River Bridge.

Highways 158, 140, and 181 will act as major alternate routes.

ARDOT reminds drivers to slow down and minimize distractions when moving through a work zone. Using a phone in a work zone is unlawful and can result in citations and doubled fines.
