Roadway maintenance on Highway 38 between Cotton Plant and Little Dixie will require closure of the highway beginning Monday, September 19.

Crews will close Highway 38 between Cotton Plant and Little Dixie for the next four to six weeks to improve drainage and help prevent future flooding. Traffic will use the following detours (see map NR 22-226-A):

• Eastbound traffic traveling on Highway 38 will detour north to Highway 33 to the intersection of Highway 260, then east on Highway 260 to the intersection of Highway 17 South. Traffic will rejoin Highway 38 near Cotton Plant.

• Westbound traffic traveling on Highway 38 will be directed north on Highway 17 to the intersection of Highway 260, then west on Highway 260 to the intersection of Highway 33. Traffic will rejoin Highway 38 at Little Dixie
