GARLAND COUNTY | July 6, 2023

Join ARDOT leadership and local dignitaries in Hot Springs at 11 a.m. Friday, July 14 to cut a ribbon on a newly widened portion of Highway 270 in Garland County.

This project was part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program. It included widening and improving 1.5 miles of Highway 270 from its intersection with Highway 227 to Fleetwood Drive. The improvements include four travel lanes, a center turn lane and bike lanes. This project will enhance safety and increase the capacity of the roadway while also providing the opportunity for biking.

McGeorge Contracting Co., Inc. was awarded the contract for $22.6 million.

The ribbon-cutting event will be held at the ARDOT District 6 Garland County Maintenance Office at 3600 Albert Pike Road in Hot Springs.
