A proposed amendment to the Arkansas Department of Transportation’s (ArDOT) Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) for Federal Fiscal Years 2023-2026 was published for review on December 8 and is available for public comment.

The purpose of this proposed STIP amendment is to add Job 080711; Highway 113 Relocation (Conway Co.) to the 2023-2026 STIP. This project will construct approximately 2 miles of Highway 113 on a new alignment. ArDOT will partner with the Arkansas Economic Development Commission (AEDC) and various other counties. Partnering commitments will be in the form of funding provided by the AEDC and the transfer of ownership and maintenance of highway mileage to various counties. Ownership of the bypassed portion of Highway 113 and Highway 154 will be assumed by Conway County upon completion of the project.
The public is invited to review and comment on the contents of this proposed STIP amendment between now and December 29, 2023. The amendment may also be reviewed at the ArDOT Central Office or the State Clearinghouse.
