SALINE COUNTY | February 20, 2024
Construction to widen Interstate 30 (I-30) to six lanes in Saline County requires closing the
I-30 eastbound exit ramp to Highway 67 (Exit 114) overnight from 9 p.m. Wednesday, February 21 through 5 a.m. Thursday, February 22 in Benton for overhead signage installation.
I-30 eastbound traffic will be unable to use the exit ramp to Highway 67 (Exit 114) during this closure and will need to follow the signed detours. See attached detour map NR 24-047-A. The detour is as follows:
- East on I-30 to Exit 116 (Sevier and South streets)
- North on South Street Bridge
- West on I-30 to Exit 114 (Highway 67 South)
Traffic will be controlled with message boards, construction barrels, barricades, and signage. The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zone and watch for slower traffic speeds. Areas adjacent to the Interstate may experience noise impacts during nighttime hours.
This project (Job CA0601) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 5.5 miles of Interstate 30 to three lanes in each direction, from the interchange with U.S. Highway 70 (Exit 111) to Sevier Street in Benton (Exit 116). The project also includes improvements at the Highway 67 interchange (Exit 114). More information on this $187.3 million project is available at ConnectingArkansasProgram.com.
